The Citygraph Gallery presents the works of the architect & graphic artist Béla Magyar.

The theme of the artist is Budapest, and the city in general, the metropolis. Sometimes from a bird's eye, sometimes embedded in the surreally organic brick and iron jungle, sometimes playfully, sometimes ironically. Sometimes in black and white, sometimes in color.

Architect&graphic artist: this is his title on the business card, in fact, Béla Magyar is very much graphic artist to be an architect, and he is very much architect to be a graphic artist. The houses, bridges, all sorts of strange structures are not simply drawn, but because he knows, understands buildings and structures, builds those on paper, then, with his pen, he walks in the city he creates.

When people leave the city, buildings are slowly recaptured by nature. But Béla Magyar is often concerned with the idea of that if everything happens just the opposite and the abandoned towns, buildings and structures awake and mixed with nature?

The genre in which the works are born: mixed media; pen and ink on paper, then the artist redesigns, redefines the original drawings with digital pen and then prints them.
